Taste Authentic Chinese Chicken at Sincerity Restaurant
If you're planning for a food trip in the oldest Chinatown in the world(Binondo), surely Sincerity Restaurant will be included to your list. Sincerity Restaurant is known to serve the best fried chicken in Binondo. So when we went there during lunch time, it is no wonder that the place is jam packed with hungry customers.
How To Get There
From Cubao, ride an LRT train to Recto Station. Ride a jeep with Divisoria on its destination plate. We got off at Abad Santos then we rode an e-trike off to Chinatown. Then we alighted at Minor Basilica of St. Lorenzo Ruiz. From there, walk towards Ongpin Street. When you see Cafe Mezzanine, turn right. Just continue walking til you find Sincerity Restaurant. It is located at the right side near some office products shops.
The Place

Sincerity Restaurant has other branches in Lucky Chinatown and Banawe. This one in Binondo has 2 floors being able to accommodate around 30-40 persons I think. The place looks like your normal Chinese restaurant with Chinese decorations and all. It is also well-ventilated. There are not much staff though so expect that during peak hours, their service will be slower.
Lunch before heading to National Museum! Will blog about it soon. ^_^ |
Their Food
Their prices are relatively cheaper compared to other Chinese Restaurants I've tried. For 100 pesos, you already have your own Bento Meal! Of course we'll always have their chicken on our own Bento meals. They serve smaller chicken parts compared to fastfood restaurants.
Chad ordered Bento 2: Sincerity Fried Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Cha Canton, and Fried Rice. However, when his order arrived, they told us that Sweet and Sour Pork was not available at that time so they replaced it with Pork Asado without even telling us which is a turn off for us. But then we decided to let it pass. The noodles and Pork Asado tasted so-so for Chad. The only one that passed his standard is the fried chicken though it tasted differently from what we're always having since it includes Chinese spices plus, no gravy.
On the otherhand, I ordered Bento 1: Sincerity Fried Chicken, Lumpiang Shanghai, Sotanghon and Fried Rice. I didn't like my Sotanghon. It tasted bland for me. Not my usual take on pancit so I ended up not finishing it. Their Lumpiang Shanghai is fine. I love their chicken and fried rice though. But I still wish there's gravy huhu. Their chicken has its own original taste. It's not too salty and I can taste ginger in it. I love their chicken most when it's freshly cooked.
For 200 pesos, I guess the amount of servings and the quality of food fits. The food is okay but their fried chicken is really what will always bring back customers. Have you ever tried their chicken? Tell me what you think in the comments box below. :D
